How it works

From the first call to the last meeting

No forms to fill out before you can talk to someone. Here’s what happens, in order.

  1. 01

Step 1: You call, text or fill in the form

Tell us what’s happening in your own words. Our intake coordinator answers on weekdays and on Saturdays.

  2. 02

Step 2: We check that you qualify

Where your child goes to school, their age, your household income. It takes a few minutes.

  3. 03

Step 3: A lawyer reviews the file

IEPs, letters, report cards, emails. We call you back with what we see and what we suggest.

  4. 04

Step 4: We agree in writing

A short agreement says what we’ll do for you. It costs nothing, and it’s when we become your lawyers.

  5. 05

Step 5: We get to work

Letters, meetings, mediation or a hearing, with you told about every step before it happens.

What to bring

Bring the folder, even if it’s a mess

The more we can read, the faster we can help. But nothing on this list is required for the first call.

  • The current IEP or 504 plan, if there is one

  • Evaluations and report cards

  • Letters and emails from the school

  • Discipline notices, with dates

  • Notes from meetings, even handwritten ones

One phone call gets this started

It’s free, and there’s nothing to fill out first.

A first call doesn’t make us your lawyers; a written agreement does.
